A sensitive lower back, slackening posture, wanting to get back into exercise without getting hurt: Core Pilates is designed for exactly that. It is a targeted approach to Pilates, focused on the deep core muscles, the back and the pelvic floor.
The movements are simple, controlled and guided by the breath. You stabilise your body, improve your posture and prevent pain, in a calm, demanding and caring setting.

What Core Pilates changes for you
A soothed lower back
A strong core supports the spine: by strengthening the deep abdominals and the back, lower back and postural pain eases for good.
A firmer stomach
Deep work firms the stomach, tones the back and shapes the glutes, without impact or overload.
A stable body in everyday life
Better balance, better posture, surer movements: the stability gained in class carries into every movement of your day.
45 calm, fluid and controlled minutes
The pace is deliberately slow: here, what counts is the quality of movement, not speed. Your coach guides you step by step and adapts every exercise to your abilities.
The exercises are mostly done on the floor, on a mat. You progress at your own pace, without pressure, and leave with a body that feels more supported and lighter.
For anyone who wants to strengthen without strain
Core Pilates is for you if you are a beginner, getting back into exercise after a break, or want to look after a fragile back. It is also an excellent complement for athletes: it builds the foundations every other discipline needs.
Core Pilates: everything you need to know
What exactly is Core Pilates?
A more accessible variation of Pilates, focused on the centre of the body: deep abdominals, back, pelvic floor. A gentle, precise and effective method, ideal for strengthening without strain.
Is this class for me if I have never done Pilates?
Yes, it is the ideal class to start with. The movements are simple, learning is progressive and you move at your own pace, in complete safety.
How is it different from a Pilates class?
Core Pilates emphasises stabilising and strengthening the core, with more accessible exercises and an even more preventive approach. The Pilates class goes further into technique.
Is it effective for lower back pain?
It is one of its great strengths. By strengthening the core and the deep back muscles, it helps relieve back pain and correct postural imbalances.
Can I practise with an injury or a health problem?
Yes, with your healthcare professional's approval. We discuss it during your personal consultation, and your coach adapts every exercise to respect your limits.
Do I need to be flexible?
Not at all. Core Pilates actually helps you gain flexibility, by gently working your range of motion. No performance is expected.
Is it a good complement to another sport?
Yes. Stability, core strength, body awareness and injury prevention: Core Pilates builds the foundations useful to any other discipline.
Is Core Pilates included in the membership?
Yes. Core Pilates is one of the group classes included in the Leaf Signature membership. We present the plan in detail during your personal consultation.
